Dear parents and students,
Extending a warm welcome to all of you this 2017-18. At XEHS we continue broadening young children’s horizons and help them achieve their ambitions.
XEHS started as a dream – a dream envisioned by our Founder Members, who were parents themselves, aspiring towards a liberal education for young minds in the city. Today, we can proudly say we have dedicatedly endeavoured our service to what we believe- "Knowledge for the sake of knowledge without benefiting fellow beings is a dead end; and only leads to the blind alley of frustration. Education is a meaningless ritual, unless it moulds the character of students and imparts in them a strong sense of values".
Education at XEHS goes beyond the letters in the pages of a text book and students emerge as confident young individuals, ready to face the challenges of the 21st century. We constantly inspire our students to question and learn by doing, we give them the skills, courage, optimism and integrity to pursue their own dreams; facilitating with an effectively balanced amalgamation of contemporary and traditional learning. Guiding the youngsters in their search for meaning in the disciplines we introduce them to, in the world around them and in their interactions with others, we give a priority on recognising and rewarding accomplishment at all levels. We want to inspire learning for its own sake by sharing our joy and modelling lifelong dedication to learning. Excellent performance is not an exception but an expectation at XEHS, thus providing a learning environment, that allows every student to thrive as a talented individual.
Learning takes many forms here and I am elated to inform that our Sports Academy has already brought in laurels worth the relentless effort and praise. So this year we proudly take it a step further, and provide a chance to all the students to be an active part of the Sports Academy. Enhancing our communicating arena further, we already have a well equipped 'School Website' and a portal through which our parents can write e-mails to us and we assure a prompt reply. Parents can meet the respective Section In-charges during school hours. At XEHS our parents are a tremendous support, participating to ensure that the school continues with the philosophy enshrined in our constitution.
I gratefully thank everyone once again for putting their trust in us, and conclude by what Mahatma Gandhi said several decades ago, “… education for life, education through life, and education throughout life.” We at Xavier's English High School believe just that!
